Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the LORD knowing that your labor in the LORD is not in vain.
1 Corinthians 15:58

So easy to say, so hard to do: to stand firm and remain constant in our faith is not an easy task! When adversity strikes, or when something that we have not anticipated suddenly appears in front of us, it is difficult, if not impossible, to face it with grace. That is why our LORD said, “Be vigilant and pray, because your adversary the devil, like a roaring lion, is always seeking whom he might destroy.”
Our beloved Master teaches us that our lives should always be well-balanced in order to avoid becoming the enemy’s next prey in a moment of weakness. JESUS CHRIST himself said, “In this world you shall have tribulation, but cheer up, I have overcome the world.” Tribulations are part of our lives. They are necessary for our spiritual growth, they are for the believers what weights are for the athlete: painful discipline, but totally indispensable to obtain the desired results. Do you want to build spiritual muscle? The next time trouble knocks on your door, climb to the rooftop and praise him who created the stars! That is the equivalent of an Olympic athlete training to break a world record.
How marvelous to know that our LORD and Savior already paid the price for our victory! In fact, JESUS obtained our victory beforehand. Your crown has been bought and paid for; you need only put it on your head. You are a child of the King. Even when our feelings betray us, even though we feel destroyed in our humanness, let us remember Romans 8:28: “We are more than conquerors through him that loved us and gave himself up for us at Calvary.” GOD’s Holy Word assures us that we will win the war if we faint not. In fact, it is this very battle that actually conquers the world! Our faith in GOD and his promises are more precious that gold.
Someone said that faith is the currency of heaven. Faith is our immutable, indestructible belief that our LORD and Savior died for us and secured for us an otherwise unobtainable salvation. When other people hang their heads in shame or misery because of their situation, children who know their true FATHER hold their heads high in faith and hope despite their situation. How do we hold our heads high in the midst of tribulation? We remember that in the middle of what seems to be a natural disaster, there is always a potential treasure. What is the treasure? The opportunity to glorify the LORD by believing him and patiently waiting on his promises. It is precisely in the midst of despair that our grateful praise is most acceptable and pleasing to our LORD. To praise in the mist of happiness is easy. To praise in the middle of despair is glory!
And that all his promises shall come to pass, just as he has promised. JESUS reminds us of this in Revelations: “Be faithful until the end and I will give you the crown of life.” It is not an easy task to be faithful, but one that is worth keeping at all costs. The world tells us to give up, to throw in the towel, to say goodbye to our goals. The world tells us it is too late, the situation is too far gone, we are lost and we are failures. This is when you must remember: the world is a lie.
Let us rest in this precious and faithful promise: We belong to a kingdom which is not of this world, a kingdom which is eternal and more real than the air we breathe. A kingdom that is incorruptible, where there is no more sin, and no more wages of sin: pain, tears, sorrow, injustice, misery and despair. A special home was prepared just for us, where there is happiness beyond comprehension; it is not in vain that the word says: “In his presence there is fullness of joy, delights for evermore.” Imagine: a perfect place created by our loving Father, just for us. He provides a loving reward to those who realize that he is real and true, for those who decide in their hearts to be faithful until the end. Those who believe in him and know that all his promises are, yes and amen, definitely worth waiting for!
I am so glad to know beyond a shadow of a doubt that when my life ends, HE will be waiting for me to gather me unto himself, as a mother hen gathers her baby chicks.
Are you aware of this homecoming? Are you resting in this promise? Have you heard about Jesus, the living GOD, and how he loves you so much that he voluntarily died for you over 2000 years ago? His tomb is empty, he resurrected and lives to be your personal Savior. Have you accepted his love? It is not a human style love, which is conditional and changeable. JESUS offers perfect love, full of compassion, understanding, mercy, tenderness and incalculable depth. He is the perfect friend. Are you aware that he awaits you lovingly with open arms, and longs to greet you personally at the gates of heaven?
If this is new to you, it is no accident that you are reading these words. If you do not believe in HIM, it is no accident that you found this web page. Consider this a personal invitation from Jesus himself: open your heart to him today. Simply say, Lord Jesus, I repent of my sins, I ask you to come into my heart, I make you my Lord and Savior. He will help you with the rest. Be truly wise and secure your eternal life now, while the LORD speaks to you directly. Ask him to unplug your ears, so you may hear his sweet voice. As him to clean your eyes, so you may see his gentle face. Ask him to clear your mind, so you may stand in faith. Do it today, while there is time.
Do you know that in the Book of Matthew, Jesus said, “In my Father’s house there are many mansions, I will go and prepare them so that that where I am you will also be.” I don’t know about you, but this sounds to me like the best offer ever made to humankind.
In light of this marvelous truth, I ask you, what are you waiting for?
